Reviews

Ordered a Doro Wat with the lentils, greens, and cabbage. Sooooo delicious. Everything was well seasoned and had such a variety of flavor from every different food. Would recommend to anyone who likes Ethiopian food or is looking to try it for the first time. The lady there is very nice as well.

This place has the best soul food ever!! We got the chicken with veggie and beef with veggie. Veggie comes with lentils, mustard green and mixed cabbage/potatoes/carrot. Very similar to food from Kerala (south Indian) These were served on injera, which is the fluffiest thing ever. We also got the coffee ceremony- she roasted the coffee beans, we had popcorn. It was one of the best coffees I have had! The owners are the friendliest, sweetest humans..

Delicious food and lovely vibes. I highly recommend getting the coffee it is quite an experience. You get popcorn with it and you can burn incense as well. I also am very glad they serve bottled water and not tap water like many restaurants do. The veg combo i believe I got genuinely exceeded my expectations in how good everything tasted and I already expected it to be quite good. If you’re looking for some healthy yummy food to share with friends in a chill environment this is definitely the place to go :)

Went here after touring Purdue. It is just outside of downtown. The food was so flavorful. And she even made me gf (gluten free) homemade bread when I told her that I have Celiac disease. Wonderfully sweet people & place. A very warm environment -perfect for a cozy home cooked Ethiopian meal!

The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming! We were a party of 12 but she sat us quickly. Ordering and cooking takes time, but they do have vegan options. We placed our orders, but the owner was very good at recommending dishes we would enjoy more (I almost ordered a lamb dish but her recommendation was the beef which I changed to; was excellent!), so I recommend being flexible and going with what she suggests. The coffee was excellent (reminded me of Turkish style) and came with popcorn, perfect for something to slowly drink and nibble while catching up. Will go again next year for Gen Con!

I went for lunch and I was treated like an old friend. It was a lovely experience, very tasty food and I was even able to purchase some meten shiro to restock my pantry. Look forward to going back. Lete was so warm and I felt like I was going to a friends house for lunch.
